Conservation Authority Acquires Another Property for the MSHCP
The Western Riverside County Regional Conservation Authority (RCA) highlights its latest acquisition for
the Western Riverside County MSHCP. This acquisition consists of a total of approximately 234.65 acres
in the Southeast area of the County.
Wilson Valley, CA;
This acquisition is located west of Anza and northeast of Aguanga, east of Highway 371 and east of
Wilson Valley Road. The property is also known as the Geller Property.
This acquisition is located within Rough Step Unit 4, in the REMAP Area of the County General Plan and is in Subunit 2:
Wilson Valley / Sage. This acquisition continues the RCA's efforts in acquiring properties and
conserve lands in this Rough Step Unit.
This property was acquired with a Federal Section 6 Grant (50%) and local funding with RCA MSHCP Fees (50%).
The vegetation on the property consists of Chaparral, Coastal Sage Scrub, Desert Scrubs and Grassland, within MSHCP
Critera Cells of 6937 and 7007 within Cell Group E' of Subunit 2: Wilson Valley / Sage. Conservation within this Cell Group
contributes to the assembly of Proposed Core 7.
The Wildlife that has been observed on the site is typical of the vegetation found in this area. Species that have been
observed in this area include:
Los Angeles Pocket Mouse, Aguanga Kangaroo Rat, Least Bell's Vireo, Bobcat and Mountain Lion

The property consists of approximately 234.65 acres and continues the efforts of the RCA to develop and
maintain a conservation reserve system within Western Riverside County.
