Inland Premier – Phase 2 Acquisition

Location: The project is located south of Meadow View Lane in the unincorporated area of the County of Riverside.
RCA Area: Pass Area Plan – Subunit 2 – Badlands/San Bernardino National Forest, Rough Step 2.
Size: 73.67 acres.
Plant Communities in the area: Chapparal, Woodland Forest.
Species for Conservation: Bell’s Sage Sparrow, Bobcat, Los Angeles Pocket Mouse and San Bernardino Mountain Kingsnake.

Importance:

The Inland Premier Phase 2 property consists of approximately 73.67 acres and is located immediately south of previously conserved lands, east of the City of Calimesa.

This property was acquired by RCA on October 9, 2015 with MSHCP local development mitigation fees.  The property is located within Cell 312 of the Western Riverside County Multiple Species Habitat Conservation Plan (Western Riverside County MSHCP).

The Inland Premier property contains important biological resources including Woodland Forest habitat.

Wildlife and Habitat Value:

In addition, the subject property is located in a critical conservation area within the Western Riverside County MSHCP, identified as Constrained Linkage 23.  This property connects to conserved lands to the north.  Conservation of this land helps assemble the reserve for this area and protect important habitat for many species including Bell’s Sage Sparrow and Bobcat.
