Join Us in the Jurupa Hills to Restore Delhi Sand Dune Habitat

Oct 3, 2025 | MSHCP, Volunteer

Are you looking for a way to give back to nature and make a difference in your community? On Saturday, October 25th, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., you can join us in the beautiful Jurupa Hills for a volunteer event dedicated to restoring the critical habitat of the endangered Delhi Sands flower-loving fly.

This event is being organized by the Western Riverside County Regional Conservation Authority (RCA) along with the Rivers & Lands Conservancy and the Riverside County Regional Park and Open-Space District (RivCo Parks). We are excited to invite volunteers of all ages to lend a hand in preserving and enhancing our local ecosystem.

Volunteers will take part in plant seed collection and vegetation thinning. These activities are crucial for the habitat restoration efforts aimed at supporting not only the Delhi Sands fly but also a variety of other wildlife species that call this area home.

Whether you’re a seasoned volunteer or new to the experience, this is a fantastic opportunity to connect with nature, meet like-minded individuals, and learn about the importance of habitat conservation.

Spaces are limited, so if you’re interested in joining us, please make sure to RSVP ahead of time. For more information and to reserve your spot, visit www.wrc-rca.org/oct2025. Don’t miss out on this chance to make a positive impact in our environment! Mark your calendars and prepare for a rewarding day in the great outdoors.
