Plant Communities in the area: Chaparral, Coastal Sage Scrub, Grasslands, and Woodland Forest.
Species for Conservation: Arroyo Toad, Bell’s Sage Sparrow, Cactus Wren, Loggerhead Shrike, Quino Checkerspot Butterfly, Bobcat, Los Angeles Pocket Mouse, Mountain Lion, and Stephens’ Kangaroo Rat.

Importance:

A 909-acre acquisition in 2005, Goodhart is a key acquisition for the Riverside County Transportation Comission and RCA in the Cactus Valley region. The Goodhart family’s legacy as early settlers of Cactus Valley stretches back to the 1800s.

The Goodhart acquisition is home to over 75 plants and animal species while providing an important connection between the San Bernardino National Forest lands to Wilson Valley.
